Little Ghost Q-Taro (Japanese: オバケのQ太郎, Hepburn: Obake no Kyutarō) is a fun Japanese manga and anime series. It was created by the famous duo Fujiko Fujio. The story is about a friendly ghost named Q-Taro, who lives with a human family, the Ōharas.
Q-Taro is also known as "Q-chan" or "Oba-Q". He loves to play tricks, fly around, and sometimes even sneak food! But there's one thing that really scares him: dogs. The series usually shows the funny adventures of Q-Taro and his friends.
The manga was first drawn from 1964 to 1966 by both Fujiko F. Fujio and Fujiko Fujio A. Later, from 1971 to 1974, only Fujiko F. Fujio continued drawing it. An English version of the manga was even published in Japan, called Q the Spook.
There have been three different anime TV shows based on Little Ghost Q-Taro. The first one was in black and white and aired from 1965 to 1967 on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS). The second series was in color and ran from 1971 to 1972 on Nippon TV. The most recent series aired from 1985 to 1987 on TV Asahi.
