The Little Swanson River is a small river located in the Sudbury District in northeastern Ontario, Canada. It's part of a big water system that eventually flows into James Bay. This river starts from a lake that doesn't have a name and flows into the Swanson River.

Where the River Flows

The Little Swanson River begins in an area called Racine Township. It flows towards the northeast, passing through several small lakes that don't have names. Then, it enters Floranna Township, where it reaches Robson Lake.

From there, the river turns north and flows into Sadler Township. It continues its journey north into Lipsett Township. Finally, the Little Swanson River reaches its end, flowing into the Swanson River.

Part of a Bigger Water System

The Swanson River, which the Little Swanson River joins, is part of a much larger water system. The water from the Swanson River travels through several other rivers: the Chapleau River, the Kapuskasing River, the Mattagami River, and the Moose River. All these rivers eventually lead to James Bay, which is a large body of water connected to Hudson Bay. This entire network of rivers and lakes is known as the James Bay drainage basin.
