The Long Beach Island Consolidated School District is a public school district in New Jersey. It serves students from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. These students come from five towns on Long Beach Island. These towns are Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Township, Ship Bottom, and Surf City. All these towns are located in Ocean County.

In the 2017-18 school year, the district had 234 students. There were 33.1 teachers, meaning about seven students per teacher.

The New Jersey Department of Education groups school districts. This helps compare districts with similar backgrounds. Long Beach Island Consolidated School District is in group "FG". This is the fourth-highest group out of eight.

In 2016, the district thought about closing a school. They wanted to save money and update their buildings. The idea was to close Long Beach Island Grade School. All students would then go to Ethel A. Jacobsen Elementary School. This plan would cost about $16 million. It would mean a small increase in property taxes for local homes.

After sixth grade, students attend the Southern Regional School District. This district serves students from the five Long Beach Island towns. It also includes students from Beach Haven and Stafford Township. Some students from Ocean Township also attend. This includes students from Waretown.

The Southern Regional School District has two main schools. Southern Regional Middle School serves grades 7 and 8. It had 944 students in 2017-18. Southern Regional High School serves grades 9 through 12. It had 1,941 students in 2017-18. Both of these schools are in Manahawkin. Manahawkin is part of Stafford Township.
