Loonatics Unleashed is an American animated TV show. It was made by Warner Bros. Animation. The show aired on Kids' WB for two seasons, from 2005 to 2007.
This series was inspired by the classic Looney Tunes cartoons. Warner Bros. called it an "action-comedy." Loonatics Unleashed mixes the funny style of Looney Tunes with modern action. The characters were designed to look more like action heroes.
Unlike older Looney Tunes shows, Loonatics Unleashed has a darker feel. It takes place in a world after a big disaster. The show also has ongoing stories, which was new for a Looney Tunes series.

The Story of Loonatics Unleashed
The story of Loonatics Unleashed happens in the year 2772. A giant meteor hits the city-planet of Acmetropolis. This meteor doesn't destroy the planet. Instead, it crashes into the water. It releases strange energy that changes some people's genes. This gives them special powers and strengths.
A mysterious and powerful woman named Zadavia brings together six of these super-powered teenagers. They form a team of superheroes called the Loonatics. Zadavia becomes their leader. She sends them on missions to protect Acmetropolis and its people. The Loonatics live on the 134th floor of a very tall tower.
These heroes are actually descendants of the classic Looney Tunes characters. This means they are like their great-great-great-grandchildren!
Later, we find out that Zadavia is an alien. She used her powers to slightly move the meteor. This stopped it from totally destroying the planet. We also learn that Zadavia's older brother, Optimatus, caused the meteor strike. He wanted to destroy his sister.
In the second season, the show becomes a bit lighter. More descendants of other Looney Tunes characters appear. Zadavia also becomes less mysterious. She joins the Loonatics on their adventures more often. Two more aliens from Zadavia's home planet, Deuce and Keyboard Man, are introduced. In the final episode, Deuce replaces Optimatus as the main villain.
Meet the Main Characters
The Loonatics team is made up of six unique heroes. Each one has special powers from the meteor strike. They are also related to the famous Looney Tunes characters.
- Ace Bunny: He is a descendant of Bugs Bunny. Before the meteor hit, Ace worked as a stunt rabbit in movies. He's the leader of the Loonatics.
- Lexi Bunny: She is a descendant of Lola Bunny. Before the meteor, Lexi was trying out to be a cheerleader at Acmetropolis University.
- Danger Duck: He is a descendant of Daffy Duck. Before getting powers, Duck was a pool boy.
- Slam Tasmanian: He is a descendant of the Tasmanian Devil. Before the meteor, Slam was a fighter in a wrestling ring.
- Tech E. Coyote: He is a descendant of Wile E. Coyote. Tech was a smart college student at the Acme Institute. He builds all the cool gadgets for the team.
- Rev Runner: He is a descendant of Road Runner. Before the meteor, Rev was a delivery boy and loved inventing things.
Cool Gadgets and Gear
The Loonatics use amazing weapons and gear. Most of these are made by the super-smart Tech E. Coyote. Ace calls them "the toys," but Tech insists they are "hand-crafted precision alloy instruments!"
Here are some of their cool inventions:
- Retrofire Master Blaster: These blasters were used to melt a giant iceberg.
- Zoomatrixes: These are motorcycles that Tech designed for city travel. They can also change into flying vehicles! They can even link up to form a flying platform.
- Exo-Vac 2400X: Tech built this giant vacuum to suck up fuzzy creatures called Fuz-Zs. These creatures turned into monsters when they ate chocolate!
- Ninjizer 500: This powerful tool can cut through steel walls. It also shoots nunchakus and shurikens, like a ninja!
- Supersonic Transport: This super-fast ship helps the Loonatics travel quickly. It's great for high-altitude missions.
- Mobile Magma Mover: A huge drilling machine built by Tech. It can drill through solid rock to explore underground.
- The Tech E. Coyote Space Stream 8000: This spaceship was built by Tech to travel through space. It looks like a flying saucer.
- Guardian Strike Sword: This is Ace Bunny's special sword. Zadavia gave it to him when he joined the team. It has hidden powers!
- Nano Bionic Armor: When the Loonatics lost their powers, Tech made special exosuits for them. These suits helped them use their powers again. They also acted as protective armor.
