A Look Back: Low Moor's History
Low Moor was officially planned and laid out in 1858. This happened when the Chicago and North Western Railway was being built through the area. The city got its unique name because someone noticed that the iron rails used for the railway were stamped with "Low Moor, England." It's a cool way for a town to get its name!
