History of Lowry
Lowry was first planned out in March 1887. It was named after Thomas Lowry, who was an important official for the railroad. A post office has been open in Lowry since 1887, helping people send and receive mail for over a hundred years.
Lowry's Geography
Lowry covers a total area of about 0.37 square miles (0.96 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
Two main roads, Minnesota State Highway 55 and Minnesota State Highway 114, pass through the community. These highways help people travel to and from Lowry.
