Luddenham is a suburb located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is about 42 kilometres west of the main city area of Sydney. Luddenham is part of two local government areas: the City of Penrith and the City of Liverpool. It is also part of the larger Greater Western Sydney region.
History of Luddenham
Luddenham got its name from a large piece of land. This land was between South Creek and the Nepean River. It belonged to a person named John Blaxland. He received this land grant on November 30, 1813.
John Blaxland's older brother was Gregory Blaxland, who was quite famous. The name Luddenham came from their family's property in Kent, England.
The first post office in Luddenham opened on January 1, 1857. It was later renamed Bringelly in 1863. The post office that is there today opened on March 1, 1872.

Getting Around Luddenham
Luddenham has one bus service, route 789. This bus travels between Luddenham and Penrith. It runs only twice on weekdays. There is one bus around 7:30 AM and another around 4:14 PM.
In June 2020, plans were confirmed for a new train station. This station will be in Luddenham. It will be part of the Western Sydney Airport line. This new train line is expected to be finished in 2026.
