Mörschwil is a town, also known as a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Rorschach area of the canton of St. Gallen.

History of Mörschwil
Mörschwil has a long history. It was first written about in the year 811. Back then, it was called Maurini vilare. Later, in 1389, its name changed to Mörswile.
Geography and Landscape
Mörschwil covers an area of about 9.9 square kilometers (3.8 square miles). A large part of this land, about 59%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 22% of the area.
About 18% of the land has buildings or roads. A small part, less than 1%, is made up of rivers or lakes. The town is found in the Rorschach area. It sits along the main road that goes from Rorschach to St. Gallen. It is located between the Steinach and Goldach rivers. Mörschwil includes the main village and many smaller hamlets and houses spread out.
