Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed, born in 1976, is a politician from Yemen. He served as the Prime Minister of Yemen from 2018 to 2024. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was the Minister of Public Works. This job involves managing government projects like roads and buildings.

Learning and Education
Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed studied architecture and design. He earned both his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Cairo University in Egypt.
Early Career and Roles
Before becoming Prime Minister, Saeed worked as an architect. He also advised groups in Cairo on planning and construction projects. He was an assistant professor at Thamar University in Yemen.
Saeed also helped represent the Yemeni government. He took part in talks with the Houthi group in places like Geneva, Biel (Switzerland), and Kuwait. These talks aimed to find peaceful solutions during the conflict in Yemen.
Becoming Prime Minister (2018-2024)
On October 18, 2018, Yemen's President, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, removed the previous Prime Minister, Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr. This happened because of economic problems in Yemen.
President Hadi then chose Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed to be the new Prime Minister. At the time, he was the youngest person ever to hold this important position in Yemen.
In April 2022, President Hadi handed over his powers to a new group called the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC). This council is led by Rashad al-Alimi. The PLC decided to keep Saeed as Prime Minister.
However, on February 5, 2024, the PLC removed Saeed from his role as Prime Minister. He was then named a presidential advisor. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak took his place as the new Prime Minister.
Airport Attack in 2020
On December 30, 2020, a plane carrying Prime Minister Saeed and other government members arrived at Aden International Airport. They were returning from Saudi Arabia.
As the plane landed, bombs exploded at the airport. Then, gunmen started shooting. This attack sadly killed at least 25 people and injured over 110 others. Luckily, Prime Minister Saeed was safely taken away from the scene.
