Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed (born in 1976) is a politician from Yemen. He served as the Prime Minister of Yemen from 2018 to 2024. Before that, he was the Minister of Public Works.

Education and Early Career
Studying Architecture
Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed studied at Cairo University in Egypt. He earned both a Master's and a Doctorate degree. His studies focused on architecture and design.
Working as an Architect
After his studies, Saeed worked as an architect. He was also an advisor in Cairo, helping with city planning and construction projects. He also taught as a professor at Thamar University in Yemen.
Involvement in Peace Talks
Saeed was part of the government's team in important discussions. These talks were held with the Houthi group. They took place in places like Geneva, Switzerland, and Kuwait.
Becoming Prime Minister
Appointment in 2018
On October 18, 2018, Yemen's President, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, made a big change. He removed the previous Prime Minister, Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr. This happened because of a difficult economic situation in Yemen.
President Hadi then chose Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed to be the new Prime Minister. At that time, Saeed became the youngest Prime Minister in Yemen's history.
Serving Under New Leadership
On April 7, 2022, President Hadi transferred his powers. He gave them to a new group called the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC). This council is led by Rashad al-Alimi. The PLC decided to keep Saeed as Prime Minister.
Saeed continued to serve in this important role until February 5, 2024. At that time, the PLC appointed him as a presidential advisor. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak took over as the new Prime Minister.
Airport Attack in 2020
A Dangerous Landing
On December 30, 2020, a plane carrying Prime Minister Saeed landed at the Aden International Airport. Other members of the new Yemeni government were also on board.
As the plane landed, there were explosions at the airport. Then, people with guns started shooting. Sadly, at least 25 people died, and more than 110 others were hurt. Prime Minister Saeed was quickly moved to a safe place.
