Magdalen Laver is a small village in Essex, England. It's part of the Epping Forest area. You can find it east of Harlow and quite close to the M11 motorway.
The village has a community building called a village hall. It also has a church named St Mary Magdalen. Back in the 1870s, a book called John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Magdalen Laver. It said the village was about 4 miles northwest of Ongar. At that time, around 1870, only 213 people lived there.
