Magenta (/mədʒɛntə/) is a cool coastal spot in New South Wales, Australia. It's part of the beautiful Central Coast region. This area is looked after by the Central Coast Council. A big part of Magenta is also home to the amazing Wyrrabalong National Park.
A Look at Magenta's History
Magenta became an official place in 1991. Before that, it was known for a special type of mining. People used to dig for a mineral called rutile here. Rutile is used to make things like white paint and even some parts of spaceships!
Getting Around Magenta
A main road called Wilfred Barrett Drive goes right through Magenta. It connects The Entrance and Toukley. This road is super important for getting around the Central Coast. In 2006, it even became part of the bigger Central Coast Highway.
Magenta Shores Golf Resort
One of the most famous places in Magenta is the Magenta Shores Golf Resort. This resort has a huge 18-hole golf course where people can play. It also has private homes and a resort where visitors can stay and relax.
