Geography and Location
Mannsville is found in the southwestern area of Johnston County. To its west, it shares a border with the town of Dickson, which is in Carter County.
The town has grown quite a bit over the years. In 2010, its total area was about 8.5 square kilometers (3.3 square miles). This was more than three times larger than its size in 2000. A very small part of the town, about 0.06 square kilometers (0.02 square miles), is covered by water.
Travel and Roads
U.S. Route 177 is a main road that goes right through the middle of Mannsville. If you head west on this road, you can reach Dickson, which is about 6 miles away. Going southeast for about 10 miles will take you to Madill. A larger city, Ardmore, is about 16 miles west of Mannsville. You can get there by taking Routes 177 and 199.
Community Services
Mannsville has its own fire department, which is made up entirely of volunteers. These dedicated people help keep the town safe. The fire department has three stations: two are located right in town, and one is in the nearby small community called Greasy Bend.
