Manuel Toharia Cortés is a Spanish science writer, museum director, and television personality. He is known for making science fun and easy to understand for everyone, especially through his work on TV and in museums.
About Manuel Toharia
Manuel Toharia was born in Madrid, Spain, on August 3, 1944. He studied Physics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, focusing on astrophysics, which is the study of stars and space.
From 1970 to 1979, he worked as an editor for the science section of a Spanish newspaper called Informaciones. He also became very famous on Spanish television (TVE) as the "weather man" until the early 1980s. People loved his way of explaining things!
His Work in Museums
Since 1999, Manuel Toharia has been the Science Director of two important places in Valencia, Spain:
- The City of Arts and Sciences
- The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum
In these roles, he helps create exciting exhibits and programs that teach people about science in a hands-on way.
Writing for Kids
In 1991, Manuel Toharia wrote a special book for children called Momentos Estelares de la Ciencia. The English version is titled "The Highlights of Science and its Greatest Scientists and Inventors."
