María Eugenia Suárez Riveiro (born March 9, 1992), known as China Suárez, is an actress, singer, and model from Argentina. She is famous for her roles in many TV shows and movies.

María Eugenia Suárez Riveiro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her birthday is March 9, 1992. Her parents are Guillermo Suárez and Marcela Riveiro. She has an older brother named Agustín. Her grandmother, Marta Mitsumori, was of Japanese background. China Suárez even has family living in Japan. She went to school in Buenos Aires during her childhood.

China Suárez has three children. Her first daughter, Rufina, was born on July 18, 2013. Her second daughter, Magnolia, was born on February 7, 2018. Her son, Amancio, was born on July 28, 2020. In 2024, news reported she was dating Formula 1 driver Franco Colapinto.
Her Acting and Music Career
China Suárez started acting when she was just eleven years old. Her first TV show was Rincón de luz in 2003. This show was made by Cris Morena. In 2004, she had a small part in Floricienta. She also appeared in Amor mío (2005) and Amo de casa (2006).
Becoming a Teen Star
From 2007 to 2010, China Suárez played Jazmín "Jaz" Romero in the TV series Casi Ángeles. This show was also created by Cris Morena. She also performed in the stage versions of the show. From Casi Ángeles, a music group called Teen Angels was formed, and China Suárez was a member. She left the band in 2011. Later that year, she won the "Favorite Actress" award at the Kids Choice Awards Argentina for her work in Casi Ángeles.
More TV and Film Roles
Between 2011 and 2012, China Suárez was part of the cast of Los Únicos. This show was produced by Pol-ka. She then starred in a miniseries called 30 días juntos. This show was shown on Cosmopolitan TV in Latin America.
In 2013, she worked with Pol-ka again in the comedy Solamente vos. She acted alongside Lali Espósito, who was also in Casi Ángeles. In 2014, she starred in the TV show Camino al amor. She also appeared on Tu cara me suena. On this show, she imitated Nicole Kidman from the movie Moulin Rouge!. She also appeared in the music video for the song Hoy by David Bisbal.
First Movie Roles
In 2015, China Suárez starred in her first major movie, Abzurdah. This film was based on a popular book. For this movie, she also recorded her own version of the song Trátame suavemente.
