How to Play
Mario Party DS plays a lot like other Mario Party games. You move around a game board, trying to collect as many coins as you can. You then use these coins to buy special items called stars.
Moving Around
To move, players roll a dice block. This block has numbers from one to ten. The number you roll tells you how many spaces you can move. All four players take their turn moving on the board.
Mini-Games and Winning
After everyone has moved, a short mini-game begins. There are many different mini-games to play! The player who wins the mini-game gets extra coins. The main goal is to have the most stars when the game ends. That's how you become the superstar winner!
Special Controls
While most mini-games use the regular buttons and control pad, some are unique. You might need to use the stylus on your Nintendo DS screen. Other mini-games even use the console's microphone!
Boards and Characters
The game has five different boards to play on. Each board has its own special theme. There are also eight different characters you can choose to play as.
