Mark "Super" Duper (born January 25, 1959) is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). Mark played for the Dolphins from 1982 to 1992.
He played college football for the Northwestern State Demons. The Dolphins chose him in the second round of the 1982 NFL draft. Mark Duper was picked for the Pro Bowl three times. He was also named a second-team All-Pro player in 1983.

Mark Duper: A Football Star
Mark Duper was known as "Super Duper" during his career. He played 11 seasons for the Miami Dolphins. His best years were when he played with Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino. He also played alongside another great wide receiver, Mark Clayton. Together, they were called the "Marks Brothers."
Playing for the Miami Dolphins
Mark Duper wore jersey number 85. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl in 1983, 1984, and 1986. A Pro Bowl selection means he was one of the best players in the league.
His best season was in 1984. That year, he caught 71 passes for 1,306 yards. He also scored 8 touchdowns. In 1986, he had 67 catches for 1,313 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 1990, Mark Duper became only the second Dolphins player to gain over 7,000 career receiving yards. The Dolphins released him in 1993. They brought in new receivers like O.J. McDuffie and Irving Fryar.
Mark Duper's Track and Field Career
Before playing professional football, Mark Duper was also a talented track athlete. He won the 400-meter relay at the 1981 NCAA track and field championships. This was when he was at Northwestern State University.
He also competed in the 1980 Olympic trials. He finished seventh in the 200-meter dash. He also reached the semifinals in the 100-meter dash. His fastest times were 10.21 seconds for the 100 meters and 20.77 seconds for the 200 meters.
Career Achievements and Legacy
In his 11 seasons in the NFL, Mark Duper caught 511 passes. He gained a total of 8,869 receiving yards. He also scored 59 touchdowns. After his NFL career, he played two games for the Miami Hooters in the Arena Football League in 1994.
Mark Duper was honored by the Miami Dolphins. He was inducted into the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll on December 15, 2003. He was inducted along with his "Marks Brothers" partner, Mark Clayton. This honor celebrates players who have made a big impact on the team.
