Winning Awards for Books

Martijn van der Linden has won many important awards for his illustrations. In 2016, he won the Woutertje Pieterse Prijs. He shared this award with writer Edward van de Vendel for their book Stem op de okapi. This book also earned him a Vlag en Wimpel award in the same year.

In 2017, Martijn won another big award called the Gouden Penseel. He received it for his illustrations in the book Tangramkat. His wife, Maranke Rinck, wrote this book. Tangramkat is special because it comes with a seven-piece tangram puzzle. You can use the puzzle pieces to make different animal shapes. The beautiful drawings from this book were even shown in an exhibition at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

Martijn won another Vlag en Wimpel award in 2018. This was for his work on the book Van wie is die staart?. Joukje Akveld wrote this fun book.
