Masthouse Terrace Pier is a special dock on the River Thames in London, England. It's found at the very end of Napier Avenue, near Westferry Road. This pier is on the southern part of the Isle of Dogs. It's a busy spot for river bus services, which are managed by London River Services.

River Bus Services

Masthouse Terrace Pier is a stop for the Thames Clipper, a fast boat service. These boats, called catamarans, carry people who travel to work or school. They also help tourists explore London from the water.

The Thames Clipper boats travel along the River Thames. They stop at many important places. These include Embankment, Tower Millennium Pier, and Canary Wharf. The boats then continue to Greenwich, the O2, and Woolwich Arsenal Pier.

Pier Improvements

Masthouse Terrace Pier was temporarily closed for a few months. This happened between January 14 and April 26, 2008. The pier needed important renovation work. This work cost about £500,000.

British Waterways carried out these improvements. Transport for London helped by giving a grant of £400,000. The updates made the pier better and safer. They added CCTV cameras for security. A new waiting shelter was also installed for passengers. The pier also received maintenance and a fresh coat of paint.

Getting There

You can reach Masthouse Terrace Pier by public transport. London Buses routes 277 and D7 stop nearby. These bus routes connect the pier to other parts of London.
