Maude Annabelle Apatow (born December 15, 1997) is an American actress. She is well-known for playing Lexi Howard in the HBO drama series Euphoria. This show started in 2019 and is still ongoing.
Maude is the older daughter of filmmaker Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann. She started acting when she was a child. She often played the daughter of her real-life mother's characters in her father's movies. These films include Knocked Up (2007), Funny People (2009), and This Is 40 (2012). Later, she appeared in movies like Assassination Nation (2018) and The King of Staten Island (2020). She also acted in the Netflix miniseries Hollywood (2020).

Maude Apatow's mother is actress Leslie Mann. Her father is director, producer, and screenwriter Judd Apatow. Her father's family is Jewish. Her mother's great-grandmother had Finnish family roots.
Maude has a younger sister, Iris Apatow, who is also an actress. Maude went to the Crossroads School. This is a private school in Santa Monica, California. She also attended Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan.
Maude's High School and College Years
In high school, Maude Apatow performed in musicals. These included Cabaret and Into the Woods. She later studied theater at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. However, she left college after her second year.

Starting Out in Comedy Films (2005–2015)
Maude Apatow began acting at age seven. She had a role in her father's 2005 comedy film The 40-Year-Old Virgin. However, her scenes were not included in the final movie.
She then appeared in the 2007 film Knocked Up. Her father also wrote, produced, and directed this movie. Maude and her younger sister Iris Apatow played Sadie and Charlotte. They were the daughters of their real-life mother Leslie Mann's character.
Maude acted with her sister again in her father's 2009 film Funny People. She played Mable, the daughter of Mann's character. Apatow played Sadie again in the 2012 spin-off sequel This Is 40. This movie starred Mann and Paul Rudd's characters. For her role as Sadie, Maude was nominated for awards. These included the 2012 Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Young Actress. She was also nominated for the 2013 Young Artist Award.
Online Presence and Other Roles
After joining Twitter, Maude Apatow gained many followers online. This helped her become a writer and interviewer for Zooey Deschanel's website, Hello Giggles. In 2017, she played Meredith Whitcomb in The House of Tomorrow. She also directed her first short film, Don't Mind Alice. She co-wrote and co-directed it with Olivia Rosenbloom.
In 2018, Apatow starred as Grace in the film Assassination Nation. The director of this film, Sam Levinson, later cast Apatow in his HBO teen drama series Euphoria. The show started in 2019. She plays Lexi Howard in the series. Levinson wrote this role especially for Apatow. In 2020, she co-starred in her father's comedy-drama film The King of Staten Island. "Nepo Baby" Discussion
In 2022, a viral social media post by Meriem Derradji called Apatow a "nepo baby." This term refers to someone who has family connections in the entertainment industry. This made the term 'nepo baby' popular on TikTok. Users then pointed out many other celebrities with similar backgrounds. The term became even more well-known after New York magazine published a feature. It called 2022 "The Year of the Nepo Baby" and showed Apatow on the cover with others.
Maude Apatow's Theatre Debut
Maude Apatow made her New York theater debut Off-Broadway in 2023. She took over the role of Audrey in a new production of Little Shop of Horrors. This musical was created by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. She was scheduled to perform from February to April. The chance to act on stage came because filming for the third season of Euphoria was delayed. Apatow said Little Shop of Horrors was important to her. She mentioned it "sort of introduced me to the genre as a whole" when she was a child. She then extended her run for four more weeks, until the end of April.
After her time with Little Shop ended, it was announced that Apatow would join the West End production of Cabaret. She started on May 29, playing the main role of Sally Bowles. She finished her performances with the show on September 23, 2023.
In April 2024, Apatow and her long-time friend Olivia Rosenbloom started Jewelbox Pictures. This is a company that makes films and TV shows. The company's first project was Poetic License. This was Apatow's first movie as a director. Her mother had a starring role in the film.
