Mauro F. Guillén (born 1964) is a Spanish-American expert who studies how societies and economies work. He is a professor at the Wharton School, a famous business school. His Education Journey
Mauro Guillén was born in Spain. He finished his first degree in 1987 at the University of Oviedo. He studied how countries manage their money and businesses.
In 1987, he came to the United States to study how people live and interact in groups, which is called sociology. He studied at Yale University. He earned his PhD in sociology from Yale in 1992. His main project there became his first book, Models of Management. He also got another PhD in political economy from the University of Oviedo in 1991.

From 1992 to 1996, Guillén taught at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He then moved to the Wharton School in 1996. At Wharton, he became a full professor in 2003. He was given a special professor title, the Dr. Felix Zandman Endowed Professor. This title honored a chemist who started a big company.
