Megan LeeAnn Turney (born March 12, 1987) is an American internet star. She is known as a streamer, online personality, and vlogger. Meg also enjoys cosplay, which is dressing up as characters from movies, games, or comics.
Meg became famous online through her hosting jobs. She also has her own YouTube channel. On her channel, she shares vlogs (video blogs) and videos where she plays games. Cosplay Fun
Meg first discovered cosplay and anime events in 2002. A friend invited her to an event called Ushicon 1. She loved it right away!
Over time, Meg became very well-known for her cosplay. She gained many fans who loved her creative costumes. This allowed her to make cosplay her full-time job. In 2013, she even hosted a cosplay contest at SXSW. Meg was also a special guest at Fan Expo Vancouver in 2016.
Online Career Journey
Meg started her YouTube channel in November 2009. However, she began posting vlogs regularly in 2012. In July 2012, she became a popular online host. She made her first appearance on a show called SourceFed. There, she discussed topics like Star Wars, Comic-Con, and cosplay.
Later that year, Meg helped with SourceFed's videos for YouTube's "Election Hub." In February 2013, Meg and her co-hosts won an award. They received an Audience Choice Streamy Award for Series of the Year. Besides hosting, Meg also wrote for the SourceFed website. She continued to host SourceFed and its spin-off, Nerd, until April 2014. Then, she announced she was leaving the show.
While at SourceFed, Meg also hosted other shows. These included the AMA's On Demand and Nerdist News. In August 2013, she talked about how life on Mars is shown in movies. She discussed this with other experts like Bobak Ferdowsi.
After leaving SourceFed, Meg joined Rooster Teeth. On May 30, 2014, it was announced she would host their news channel, The Know. On June 27, 2016, Meg shared that she had left Rooster Teeth. She said she left on good terms.
Streaming and Gaming (2016–Present)

In June 2016, Meg started streaming on Twitch. Twitch is a popular platform for watching people play video games live. Since leaving SourceFed and Rooster Teeth, Meg has continued to create content. She uploads video game commentaries and streams. She also posts vlogs about her cosplay on her YouTube channel.
Meg streams regularly on Twitch. In June 2021, she celebrated five years of being a Twitch partner. Her YouTube channel now mainly features highlights from her Twitch streams.
