Melita Vovk (born June 14, 1928 – died July 27, 2020) was a talented Slovenian artist. She was known for her beautiful paintings and for drawing pictures in many children's books.

Melita Vovk was born in a town called Bled in 1928. She created illustrations for a large number of children's books. Her work was so good that she won the important Levstik Award twice.

She first won the Levstik Award in 1957. This was for her drawings in the book Zgode in nezgode kraljevskega dvora (Tales and Mishaps of the Royal Court). She won again in 1965 for her illustrations in three different books. These books were Basni (Fables), Puhek v Benetkah (Puhek in Venice), and Pustov god (Pust's Birthday).

In 2010, Melita Vovk received a special award. It was a lifetime achievement award for her amazing work in illustration. This award was given at the 9th Slovenian Biennial of Illustration.

Melita Vovk was married to Bojan Štih, who was a writer and theater director. Sometimes, people called her Melita Vovk Štih. Her daughter, Ejti Štih, also became a painter. Ejti lives and works in Santa Cruz in Bolivia.
