Metroid Fusion is an exciting action-adventure video game made for the Game Boy Advance. It was created by Nintendo Research & Development 1 and released by Nintendo. This game came out in 2002 and 2003, and it's the fourth main game in the popular Metroid series.
In Metroid Fusion, you play as Samus Aran, a famous bounty hunter. She is sent to a place called the Biologic Space Laboratories space station. An explosion has happened there, and something dangerous has been found.

The X Parasites
The space station is filled with special viruses called X Parasites. These parasites are very tricky. They can copy the look and even the memories of any living thing they infect. The Galactic Federation, a space government, wants to catch these X Parasites to study them more.
Because the X Parasites are so dangerous, Samus has a very important mission. She must destroy the entire space station. This is to protect the federation and the rest of the galaxy from these harmful creatures.
Gameplay and New Abilities
Unlike some other Metroid games, Metroid Fusion focuses a lot on its story. The game is all about solving puzzles, jumping across platforms, and shooting enemies. As you play, you need to find special power-ups. These power-ups help Samus reach new areas that were blocked before.
Samus can also absorb the X Parasites she defeats. When she does this, she gets back health, bombs, and missiles. The game also added some cool new moves for Samus. For example, she can now grab ledges and climb ladders, which helps a lot with exploring.
Connecting to Other Games
You could connect Metroid Fusion to another game called Metroid Prime. This was done using a special Nintendo GameCube-Game Boy Advance cable. Connecting the games unlocked new features in Metroid Prime.
