Michael David Brown (born August 3, 1973), known as Michael Ealy, is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in movies like Barbershop (2002), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Think Like a Man (2012), and The Perfect Guy (2015). He has also starred in many TV shows.

Early Life and Education
Michael Ealy was born in Washington, D.C. He grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He went to Springbrook High School. Later, he studied at the University of Maryland, College Park. He earned a degree in English from the university. His mother worked for IBM, and his father was in the grocery business.
Acting Career Highlights
Ealy began his acting journey in the late 1990s. He performed in several plays in New York City. His first movie roles included Bad Company and Kissing Jessica Stein.
Breakthrough Roles
His big break came in 2002 with the movie Barbershop. In this film, he played Ricky Nash, a character who had changed his life for the better. He played Ricky again in the 2004 sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business. In 2003, he appeared as Slap Jack in 2 Fast 2 Furious. This was the second movie in the popular Fast and the Furious series. He also appeared in Mariah Carey's music video for her song "Get Your Number" in 2005.
Television and Film Success
In 2005, Ealy co-starred in a TV movie called Their Eyes Were Watching God. This movie was produced by Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones. He also starred in the TV series Sleeper Cell. For his role in Sleeper Cell, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2006.
In 2008, Ealy acted alongside Will Smith in the movie Seven Pounds. He was also the male lead in Beyoncé's music video for her hit song "Halo". He played CIA agent Marshall Vogel in the TV series FlashForward.
In 2010, Ealy joined the cast of The Good Wife as attorney Derrick Bond. He also co-starred in the action movie Takers. From 2012 to 2014, he played Dominic in the comedy movies Think Like a Man and Think Like a Man Too. He also appeared with Kevin Hart in the 2014 movie About Last Night.
From 2013 to 2014, Ealy played a robot named Dorian in the TV series Almost Human. This science fiction show was about two police officers solving crimes in the year 2048. Dorian was an older robot model with artificial emotions. Ealy also starred in Secrets and Lies and Being Mary Jane. In 2019, he appeared in Stumptown.

In October 2012, Michael Ealy married his girlfriend, Khatira Rafiqzada. They had been together for four years. They have a son and a daughter. Ealy is a big fan of the Washington Commanders football team.
