Michel Teló (born January 21, 1981) is a famous Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for his "sertanejo" music, which is a popular style of Brazilian country music. Before becoming a solo star, he sang in several bands, especially Grupo Tradição. His most famous song, "Ai Se Eu Te Pego", became a huge hit around the world!
Michel's musical journey started very early. In 1987, when he was just six years old, he sang his first solo song in his school choir. When he turned ten, his dad gave him an accordion, which is a musical instrument you play by pulling and pushing it.
At age 12, with encouragement from his friends and family, Michel formed his first band called "Guri." They played traditional music, and Michel was the lead singer and also wrote songs for the band. Besides the accordion, he also learned to play the piano for five years and could play the harmonica and guitar. He even enjoyed dancing!
