Midland City is a small town in Dale County, Alabama, in the United States. It became an official town in 1890. In 2020, about 2,239 people lived there. It is part of the Ozark Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is a group of nearby towns and cities.

Geography

Midland City is located in the southeastern part of Dale County. You can find it at these coordinates: 31°18′29″N 85°29′26″W / 31.30806°N 85.49056°W / 31.30806; -85.49056.

The town is surrounded by other places. To the east, you'll find Napier Field. To the southeast is the city of Dothan. To the west, there is the town of Pinckard.

A main road, U.S. Route 231, goes through Midland City. This road leads about 13 miles (21 km) northwest to Ozark, which is the main town in Dale County. It also goes about 9 miles (14 km) southeast to the center of Dothan.

Another important road, Alabama State Route 134, also runs through the middle of Midland City. It goes about 10 miles (16 km) east to Headland and about 7 miles (11 km) west to Newton, passing through Pinckard.

The United States Census Bureau says that Midland City covers a total area of about 6.06 square miles (15.7 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
