Michael Flowers, who you might know as Mike City, is a talented American singer, songwriter, and music producer. He was born on December 2, 1970. Mike City is famous for creating hit songs for many artists. Some of his well-known productions include "I Wish" for Carl Thomas and "Heard It All Before" for Sunshine Anderson. He also produced "Full Moon" for Brandy and "One Woman Man" for Dave Hollister. Another song he produced is "She's All I Got" by Jimmy Cozier.

Mike City's Music Journey
Mike City's journey in music began with a special discovery. He became a mentor to singer Sunshine Anderson after a friend heard her singing a song by Lalah Hathaway. This happened in a cafeteria line at North Carolina Central University.
How Mike City Got His Name
He got the nickname "Mike City" because he really liked the house music group Ten City. At first, Mike City mainly wrote songs for others. But then, he started singing himself. Later, he became a producer. This allowed him to use all the songs he had written. He began his musical path playing drums and bass. After finishing high school in 1987, he switched to playing keyboards.
Mike City's Business and Community Work
Beyond making music, Michael Flowers is also a business leader. He is the founder and CEO of a company called Unsung Entertainment, Inc. He is also a member of Iota Phi Theta fraternity. This is a national fraternity, mostly for African-American men. He joined the Alpha Epsilon Chapter at North Carolina Central University in the spring of 1988.

Recent Music Projects
In 2015, Mike City started a new music project. It was called Lewis City. He created this project with Danny J Lewis, a British house and garage music producer. In 2017, he released his second album, The Feel Good Agenda, Vol. 1. This album was inspired by house music. More recently, he has started working in the Southern soul music style. He writes and produces songs for his new artist, A.G. Thomas.
