Michael Rhodes (born December 4, 1989) is an American former professional mixed martial artist. He is also known as "Biggie." Rhodes competed in major fighting organizations like the UFC and Bellator MMA. He also fought in Absolute Championship Berkut, RFA, and Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

Mike Rhodes' Early Life
Mike Rhodes was born and grew up in Waterloo, Iowa. When he was younger, he sometimes struggled with his temper. He found a positive way to use his energy through sports.
In high school, he played basketball and football. He went to Waterloo East High School and Columbus Catholic High School. Mike was very good at basketball. He even played in college at Ellsworth Community College.
While in college, Mike started training in cardio kickboxing. He wanted to get healthier and lost a lot of weight. After that, he began his career in mixed martial arts.
Mike Rhodes' Fighting Journey
Starting His MMA Career
Before turning professional, Mike Rhodes had a good record as an amateur MMA fighter. He won six fights and lost two. He also became the Iowa Challenge Amateur Middleweight Champion.
In 2012, he became a professional fighter. He won six of his first seven professional fights. He even won the RFA Welterweight Championship. Because of his success, the UFC signed him in late 2013.
Fighting in the UFC
Mike Rhodes had his first UFC fight on January 25, 2014. He fought against George Sullivan and lost by decision.
His next fight was on June 28, 2014, against Robert Whittaker. Mike lost this fight by decision too.
He was supposed to fight Paulo Thiago later that year. However, Mike had to pull out of the fight because of an injury.
Mike's last UFC fight was on December 20, 2014. He fought Erick Silva and lost in the first round. After this fight, the UFC decided to release him from their organization.
After the UFC
After leaving the UFC, Mike Rhodes continued to fight in other events. On April 11, 2015, he fought Tom Angeloff at NAFC: Explosion. Mike won that fight by knockout in the first round.
Fighting in Bellator
On February 28, 2017, it was announced that Mike would fight Kendall Grove in Bellator MMA. However, Mike could not make the correct weight for the fight. Because of this, the fight was canceled.
Mike Rhodes then fought Rafael Lovato Jr. on July 14, 2017. He lost this fight in the first round.
On February 20, 2018, Bellator also released Mike Rhodes from their organization.
