Milan (pronounced MY-lən) is a small city located in the state of Georgia, USA. It's unique because it sits across two different counties: Dodge County and Telfair County. In 2020, about 613 people lived there.

History of Milan, Georgia
Milan was founded in the 1880s. This happened when a railroad line was built and extended to that area. The city was officially recognized as a town in 1891 by the Georgia General Assembly. Milan got its name from the famous city of Milan, which is in Italy.
Geography and Location
Milan is found in the southeastern part of Dodge County and the northwestern part of Telfair County. The line that divides these two counties actually runs right through the middle of the city!
U.S. Route 280 is a main road that goes through Milan, just south of the city center. If you travel east on this road, you'll reach McRae in about 10 miles. If you go west, you'll get to Abbeville in about 15 miles.
The United States Census Bureau reports that Milan covers a total area of about 8.2 square kilometers (or 3.15 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 8.1 square kilometers (3.11 square miles). A small part, about 0.1 square kilometers (0.04 square miles), is water.
