Milan Bartovič (born April 9, 1981) is a former professional ice hockey player from Slovakia. He played as a left winger. Milan was chosen by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He played for many teams during his career, including some in the National Hockey League (NHL). He finished his career playing for HK Dukla Trenčín in the Slovak Extraliga.

Milan Bartovič's Hockey Journey
Milan Bartovič started his hockey journey playing in junior leagues. He played for teams like the Tri-City Americans and Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL). The WHL is a major junior ice hockey league in Canada and the United States.
Starting Professional Hockey
In the 2001–02 season, Milan began his professional career. He joined the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL). The AHL is a league where players often develop their skills before moving to the NHL.
Time in the NHL
From 2002 to 2005, Bartovič played in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played 26 games for the Buffalo Sabres. The NHL is the top professional ice hockey league in North America. On October 24, 2005, he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. He played 24 games for the Blackhawks.
Playing in Europe
After his time in the NHL, Milan Bartovič decided to play hockey in Europe. In 2006, he moved to Sweden to play for Malmö IF in the Swedish Hockey League (SEL). He also played in Switzerland for ZSC Lions.
Return to Europe and KHL
Milan later played in the Czech Extraliga for HC Bílí Tygři Liberec. In 2010, he signed with Atlant Moscow Oblast in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The KHL is a major professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia. He also played for HC Slovan Bratislava in the KHL.
International Play
Milan Bartovič also proudly represented his home country, Slovakia. He played for the Slovak national team in several big tournaments. He competed in the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2012. He also played in the 2014 Winter Olympics for Slovakia.
Medals and Achievements
Milan Bartovič helped Slovakia win a silver medal at the 2012 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. He also won a bronze medal with the Slovak team at the IIHF World U18 Championships in 1999.
