Milan Bartovič (born April 9, 1981) is a former professional ice hockey player from Slovakia. He played as a left winger. Milan was chosen by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 35th player picked overall. He played his last games for HK Dukla Trenčín in the Slovak Extraliga.

Milan's Hockey Journey
Milan Bartovič started his hockey career playing in junior leagues. He played for teams like the Tri-City Americans and Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL). These leagues help young players get ready for professional hockey.
Starting Professional Hockey
In the 2001-2002 season, Milan began his professional career. He joined the Rochester Americans, a team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The AHL is a league where players often develop before moving to the National Hockey League (NHL).
From 2002 to 2005, Milan played some games in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres. He played a total of 26 games with them. In October 2005, the Sabres traded Milan to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Playing for New Teams
After joining the Blackhawks, Milan played 24 games for them. He also played 49 games for the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL. In 2006, Milan decided to play hockey in Europe.
He moved to Sweden for the 2006-2007 season, playing for Malmö IF in the Elitserien. Later, he signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2007. However, he soon returned to Europe to play for Malmö IF again.
In 2010, Milan signed a contract with Atlant Moscow Oblast. This team plays in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), which is a major hockey league in Russia and other parts of Europe and Asia.
Representing Slovakia
Milan Bartovič was a proud member of the Slovakia national team. He played in several important international tournaments.
World Championships
He competed in the World Championships in 2006. He also played for Slovakia in the 2007 Men's World Inline Hockey Championships, which is a different type of hockey played on inline skates.
Milan helped Slovakia win a silver medal at the 2012 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. He also earned a bronze medal earlier in his career at the IIHF World U18 Championships in 1999, playing for the Slovak under-18 team.
Olympic Games
Milan also represented Slovakia at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Playing in the Olympics is a huge honor for any athlete.
