Generation Y facts for kids
Generation Y is a name for people born after Generation X. There are no exact dates for when this group starts and ends. But generally, it includes people born from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s or early 2000s.
People in this group are often called Millennials. You might also hear them called Echo Boomers. This is because a lot of babies were born during this time. The number of births was almost as high as during the Baby Boom period, right after World War II. Many sources say Generation Y includes people born between 1983 and the early 2000s.
Who are Millennials?
Millennials are a large group of people. They grew up when technology like the internet and cell phones became very common. This means they are often comfortable with new technologies. They have seen many changes in the world, from how we communicate to how we learn.
