Her Unique Designs
Mimi Plange's fashion designs are inspired by her African background. However, she does not use traditional African prints. Instead, she finds inspiration in other ways. For example, in her Spring 2012 collection, called "Scarred Perfection," she looked at how some African cultures used body scars for tribal identification. She likes to explore how people show themselves to the world through fashion.
Mimi has said that she wants to show everyone that African fashion is not just one style. She believes it can be popular all over the world.
