Meet Mina and the Count
The very first Mina and the Count short was called "Interlude with a Vampire." It first aired on What a Cartoon! on Cartoon Network on November 5, 1995. This short was about a seven-year-old girl named Mina Harper. Her name is a fun play on the character Mina Harker from the book Dracula.
Mina meets a 700-year-old vampire named Vlad. He accidentally found her while looking for someone else. Later episodes showed Vlad, also known as Vlad the Count, and his best friend Mina. Other characters include Mina's older sister Lucy, a school bully named Nick, and Mina and Lucy's dad, Mr. Harper.
There are also some monsters and Vlad's servant, Igor. Igor doesn't like Mina. The stories usually happen in a small town in North America. This is where Mina's school and house are, and also where the Count's castle is located.
