The Minister President (which means "Minister President" in German) was like the Prime Minister or main leader of Prussia. This important job started in 1848. It was created by King Frederick William IV of Prussia during a time of big changes and revolutions in Germany.
The role of Minister President continued until 1947. That's when Prussia itself was officially ended by the Allied Control Council after World War II.

Leaders of Prussia Before 1848
Before the official Minister President role began in 1848, Prussia had other important leaders. These leaders were often called "Chief Ministers." They helped the King rule the Kingdom of Prussia.
Many different people held these top positions over the years. They worked to guide Prussia's policies and manage its affairs. This period saw many changes and growth for Prussia.

Ministers President of the Free State of Prussia (1918–1947)
After the Kingdom of Prussia ended, it became the "Free State of Prussia." This was part of the Weimar Republic, Germany's first democracy. Later, it became part of Nazi Germany.
