History of Minnesota City

Minnesota City was first planned out in March 1852. This means its streets and building lots were officially mapped. The city got its name from the Minnesota Territory, which was the area before Minnesota became a state. A post office has been open in Minnesota City since 1852, helping people send and receive mail for a very long time.
