Mollie Elizabeth King (born June 4, 1987) is an English pop singer, songwriter, and radio presenter. She is also a member of the popular girl group The Saturdays.
With The Saturdays, Mollie has had many successful songs. This includes 13 songs that reached the Top 10 and eight that made it to the Top 5 in the UK. Their song "What About Us" even became a number-one hit. The group also released five albums that reached the Top 10. Before joining The Saturdays, Mollie was in another girl group called Fallen Angelz. They appeared on the TV show The X Factor. In 2015, Mollie King signed a solo music deal with Island Records.
In August 2017, Mollie was announced as a contestant on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. She danced with professional partner AJ Pritchard. They made it to the semi-final in December 2017, finishing in fifth place. In April 2018, it was shared that Mollie would join BBC Radio 1. She started co-hosting a show with Matt Edmondson in June of that year.

Early Life and Starting Out
Mollie King was born in Wandsworth, London, England. She is the youngest of three daughters. Her parents are Susan and Stephen King. Mollie went to Surbiton High School in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. She has two older sisters, Laura Ann and Ellen Catherine.
Mollie was a very good skier when she was younger. She was part of the Surbiton High Ski team. By age 11, she was on the British Children's Ski Team. This helped her get a scholarship to the British Ski Academy. Mollie even raced for Great Britain as one of the youngest team members. She later skied for the British Alpine squad. However, she decided not to continue her ski career. Instead, she chose to follow her dream of becoming a singer. Mollie also did very well in her school exams (A levels). She got top grades in Psychology, Business and Economics, and Sport. This was impressive because she has Dyslexia.
Becoming a Star with The Saturdays
Since 2007, Mollie King has been a member of the girl group The Saturdays. The group became very successful. They had 13 songs reach the Top 10 and four albums in the Top 10. Their first song, "If This Is Love", came out in July 2008. It reached number eight in the UK. Their second song, "Up", charted at number five. It later earned a Silver Disc award in the UK.
In October 2008, the group released their first album, Chasing Lights. It reached number nine in the UK. It was also certified platinum, meaning it sold a lot of copies. The group released more songs from the album, like "Issues" and a cover of "Just Can't Get Enough". This cover song reached number two in the UK. The last song from the album was "Work". After this, the group went on a tour called The Work Tour.
In October 2009, The Saturdays released their second album, Wordshaker. It reached number nine and was certified silver. The first song from this album, "Forever Is Over", reached number two. The girls also appeared in many advertisements for different products. In early 2010, they released "Ego", which reached number nine and was also certified silver.
In summer 2010, The Saturdays released their third album, Headlines!. It reached number 3 in the UK. Their song "Missing You" reached number three. Another song, "Higher", featured the rapper Flo Rida. Their next album, On Your Radar, came out later. It included Top 10 hits like "All Fired Up" and "Notorious". In December 2011, the group went on their first big arena tour, All Fired Up Tour!.
The Saturdays released "30 Days" in May 2012, which reached number seven. Later that year, they moved to Los Angeles for a short time. They hoped to become popular in America. A reality TV show called Chasing The Saturdays followed them during their time there. The show started in January 2013. In March 2013, The Saturdays released "What About Us" with rapper Sean Paul. This song became their first number one hit. It was also the best-selling song of that year at the time. Later, "Gentleman" and "Disco Love" were released. Both songs reached the Top 15. Their album Living for the Weekend became their fourth Top 10 album. The group took a break in 2014. They released a greatest hits album called Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits.
Solo Music Career
On October 11, 2015, Mollie King shared that she had signed a solo music deal with Island Records. She planned to release her own album. Her first solo song, "Back to You", came out on August 19, 2016. On August 24, 2017, Mollie announced her new song, "Hair Down", which was released on September 1.
Mollie also helped write the song "To the Beat of My Heart" for the pop group Steps. This song was released in November 2020. It is thought to be from the songs she recorded for her solo album that was not released.

Television Appearances
Mollie King has appeared on several TV shows. She was in a few episodes of Hollyoaks Later with her bandmate Frankie Sandford. As part of The Saturdays, she was also in the BBC series Myths. Mollie appeared on The King is Dead and Never Mind the Buzzcocks in 2010. She also joined her bandmates on Ghosthunting with... to look for ghosts.
In early 2013, The Saturdays were featured in a reality TV show about their lives called Chasing The Saturdays. This show followed the girls as they tried to become famous in America. The show aired on the TV network E!. In October 2013, Mollie appeared on Through the Keyhole. On June 28, 2014, Mollie and The Saturdays competed on a celebrity version of The Cube. Mollie reached the final round and won £100,000 for her chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation.
On August 7, 2017, Mollie was the first person announced for the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. She was partnered with AJ Pritchard. They were eliminated from the show's semi-final on December 10, 2017.
Mollie also guest-presented the children's TV show Blue Peter on January 8, 2018. In January 2018, she filled in for Dan Wootton on the breakfast show Lorraine. She presented the entertainment news. During August, she presented This Morning with different co-presenters. She is now a main relief presenter on the show.
Sponsorships and Books
In 2009, The Saturdays became the new faces for hair removal product Veet. They also became the faces of a big campaign for Impulse women's deodorant. The group filmed a TV ad that featured their songs. The Saturdays also did a photoshoot for T-Mobile's Big Sofa Night In campaign. In 2013, Mollie created a clothing collection for Oasis Stores called 'Loved by Mollie'. She also designed shoes to help raise money for the UK charity Save The Children. Mollie was also an ambassador for Maybelline during Vodafone London Fashion Week. In 2017, Mollie became the face of the Christmas campaign for Boux Avenue lingerie.
In early 2010, The Saturdays decided to publish their autobiography. Mollie announced that the book would be called The Saturdays: Our Story. It was released on October 25, 2010. The book shares stories about The Saturdays' success. Mollie has her own chapter where she talks about her life before fame. The book also includes fashion and beauty tips, and photos from the girls' own collections.
Helping Others
In 2009, it was announced that The Saturdays would record the Comic Relief charity song. The group released a cover of Depeche Mode's "Just Can't Get Enough" for the charity on March 1, 2009. The song reached number 2 on the UK Singles Charts. In May 2010, The Saturdays teamed up with Manchester United. They sang at a concert before a match at Old Trafford. On September 12, 2010, the girls performed at the Help for Heroes charity concert for over 60,000 fans. In March 2011, the group helped raise money for Marie Curie. This charity provides nursing care and support for people at the end of their lives. The Saturdays also performed at the Sunshine Concert in London to raise money for charity.
Radio Presenting
From February 2018, Mollie King co-hosted BBC Radio 1 every Saturday afternoon with Matt Edmondson. In June 2018, Mollie started co-hosting the show full-time with Matt on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
In September 2018, Mollie was nominated for 'Best New Presenter' at the Audio and Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS).
Mollie and Matt co-hosted the Radio 1 weekend breakfast show from November 2018 to January 2021. Since then, they have presented the weekend afternoon show. As of May 2024, they moved to weekdays, presenting from 13:00-15:30, Monday to Thursday.
Mollie also presented Radio 1's Best New Pop from August 2019 to September 2022. Since then, she has presented Future Pop. This show is broadcast on Wednesdays.
Personal Life
In January 2010, Mollie King was in a relationship with Andy Brown from the band Lawson. They broke up in February 2011. After their split, Andy wrote songs inspired by their breakup. In 2011, Mollie started dating supermodel David Gandy. They ended their relationship in 2012 but got back together in 2014 before breaking up again in 2016.
Mollie King is now engaged to England cricketer Stuart Broad. He proposed to her on January 1, 2021. In June 2022, Mollie confirmed she was expecting a baby with Stuart. In November 2022, they announced the birth of their first daughter. Mollie announced in August 2024 that she was pregnant with their second child. In January 2025, they announced the birth of their second daughter.
