A Look Back at Baldy's History

The ski lifts at Mount Baldy were first put in place in 1952. A company called Harwood Developments built them. Herbert Leffler managed the resort from 1953 until he retired in 1969. After that, a new group of owners took over.

Big Plans for the Mountain

In 1987, a person named Bob Olson had a big idea. He wanted to make Baldy a huge mountain playground. He called his plan "The Disneyland of the Mountains." This shows how much people loved the resort and wanted to make it even better.
