Mount Frissell is a cool mountain located right on the border of two states: Massachusetts and Connecticut. It stands tall as part of the Taconic Range. This mountain is special because its southern side holds the highest point in Connecticut!
Even though Mount Frissell has Connecticut's highest point, the actual top of the mountain (its summit) is in Massachusetts. The highest point in Connecticut on Mount Frissell is about 2,379 feet (725 m) high. The very top of Mount Frissell itself is 2,454 feet (748 m) tall.

Mount Frissell is found in two towns. The Massachusetts part is in Mount Washington, Massachusetts. The Connecticut part is in Salisbury, Connecticut.
