Mount Hleven facts for kids
Mount Hleven (which is vrah Hleven in Bulgarian, meaning "Hleven Peak") is a mountain in Antarctica. It's covered in ice and stands about 1,700 meters (or about 5,577 feet) tall. That's like stacking almost five Eiffel Towers on top of each other!
This icy peak is found in the Bangey Heights, which is on the eastern side of the main ridge of the north-central Sentinel Range. It's part of the larger Ellsworth Mountains. Mount Hleven towers over the Padala Glacier to its west, the lower Embree Glacier to its north, and the lower Kopsis Glacier to its southeast.
The mountain was named after Hleven Peak, which is a mountain in the Pirin Mountain range in Bulgaria.
