Exploring Mount Wilson

Mount Wilson has amazing sandstone cliffs. These cliffs are a fun challenge for hikers and climbers. You can start your adventure at the First Creek trailhead. From there, you head west into First Creek Canyon.

Reaching the Summit

To get to the very top of Mount Wilson, you'll need to do some scrambling. Scrambling means you use both your hands and feet to climb up steep, rocky parts. It's like a mix between hiking and rock climbing. There are at least two tough routes that lead to the summit. These routes are considered "third-class" climbs. This means they are challenging but usually don't require ropes or special climbing gear.
