Roads and Travel
South Carolina Highway 72 runs along the eastern side of Mountville. This highway can take you about 10 miles (16 km) northeast to Clinton. It also goes southwest about 17 miles (27 km) to Greenwood.
South Carolina Highway 39 is on the western edge of Mountville. If you go north on this road, you'll reach Laurens in about 12 miles (19 km). Laurens is the main town for Laurens County. Going south on Highway 39 for about 3 miles (5 km) will lead you to Highway 72 near Cross Hill.
