Muppet Beach Party is a super fun music and comedy record from The Jim Henson Company. It was released in 1993 by BMG Kidz. This album is all about the Muppets having an amazing beach party! They sing lots of popular songs, especially hits from the 1960s.
Just like older The Muppet Show albums, Muppet Beach Party mixes songs with funny conversations between the Muppets. You could buy it on CD or cassette. The cassette version even came with a cool poster that had all the song lyrics on the back!
This album was also special for another reason. It was the first full-length Muppet album where Steve Whitmire voiced Kermit the Frog. He took over the role after the original voice actor, Jim Henson, passed away.
