Mylène Farmer, born Mylène Jeanne Gautier on September 12, 1961, is a famous French singer and songwriter. She has sold over 35 million records globally. This makes her one of France's most successful music artists ever. She holds the record for the most number one songs in France, with twenty-one hits.
Mylène was born in Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada. Her parents were French. Her family moved to Chaville, near Paris, when she was young. There, she started a career in modeling and acting. She became famous as a singer in 1984 with her first song, "Maman a tort". Her second album, Ainsi soit je... (1988), sold 1.5 million copies. Nevermore Tour and Recent Albums
The Nevermore 2023 tour was announced in July 2021. It included thirteen stadium concerts in France, Switzerland, and Belgium in June and July 2023. Plans for concerts in Russia were cancelled in March 2022.
On May 13, 2022, Mylène's manager, Pascal Nègre, announced a new album. She worked with musicians like Woodkid, AaRON, Moby, and Archive. The first song from the album, "À tout jamais", was released on August 26. Its music video came out on September 12. In October, the album's name, "L'Emprise", was revealed.
