Napoleon Township is located in the southeast part of Jackson County. A major road, U.S. Route 127, runs along part of its western edge. Another important road, M-50, goes right through the middle of the township. This road connects the village of Napoleon to Jackson, which is the main city of the county. Jackson is about 10 miles northwest of Napoleon.
Water Flow and Rivers
Most of the water in Napoleon Township flows into the Grand River. This river eventually leads to Lake Michigan. However, the southeastern part of the township is different. Water from that area drains into the River Raisin, which then flows into Lake Erie.
