Naz was a small municipality in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. A municipality is like a town or a local area with its own government. Naz was located in a region called Gros-de-Vaud.
On 1 July 2011, Naz joined with three other nearby municipalities. These were Dommartin, Poliez-le-Grand, and Sugnens. They all came together to form one new, larger municipality called Montilliez. This means Naz no longer exists as a separate municipality.

Naz was in the western part of Switzerland. It was part of the Vaud canton, which is one of Switzerland's 26 cantons. Cantons are like states or provinces in other countries.

Naz was quite small. It covered an area of about 1.17 square kilometers (0.45 square miles). The village itself was located at an elevation of 675 meters (2,215 feet) above sea level.

Before it merged, Naz was surrounded by several other municipalities. These included Dommartin, Poliez-le-Grand, Sugnens, Fey, and Peyres-Possens. Many of these places are now part of the new Montilliez municipality.

In December 2009, just before it merged, Naz had a population of 137 people. This shows it was a very small community.
What Happened to Naz?
On 1 July 2011, Naz officially stopped being a separate municipality. This happened because it merged with Dommartin, Poliez-le-Grand, and Sugnens. The goal of such mergers is often to create stronger, more efficient local governments. The new municipality, Montilliez, now manages the areas that used to be Naz and its neighbors.
