Nevis (pronounced NEE-viss) is a small city in Hubbard County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 377 people lived there. It is known for its connection to the muskie fish and outdoor activities.
Minnesota State Highway 34 is the main road that goes through Nevis.

History of Nevis
Nevis started as a village for the railway. A post office was set up in 1899. The village officially became a city in 1921.
The Louis J. Moser House is a historic building near Nevis. It was built in the early 1900s and used as a fishing camp. This house is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Robert G. Renner, who became a U.S. federal judge, was born in Nevis in 1923.
Fun Facts About Nevis
The muskie fish lives in the waters around Nevis. The city celebrates this fish with an event called Nevis Muskie Days every July. This event includes a 5K race, a street dance, and many local sellers.
Nevis is also home to a very large sculpture called the Nevis Tiger Muskie. It is 30 feet long!
The city is located along the Heartland State Trail. This trail is a path used for walking, biking, and other fun outdoor activities.
