New Haven is a small town located in Mason County, West Virginia, in the United States. It sits right next to the Ohio River. In 2020, about 1,485 people lived there. New Haven is part of a larger area called the Point Pleasant Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The town got its name from New Haven, Connecticut. This is because the people who owned the local mines originally came from that city.

In 2010, the census showed that 1,560 people lived in New Haven. There were 684 homes, and 449 of these were families. The town had about 1,418 people per square mile. There were also 765 housing units, which are places where people can live.
Most of the people in New Haven were White (97.9%). A smaller number were African American (0.4%), Native American (0.3%), or Asian (0.1%). Some people (0.9%) were from two or more races. About 0.7% of the population was Hispanic or Latino.
In 2010, about 29.7% of homes had children under 18 living there. Almost half of the homes (49.3%) were married couples living together.
