Nicholas Selson Gioacchini (born July 25, 2000) is an American professional soccer player. He plays as a forward or winger for the Italian club Como.

Early Life and Youth Soccer Journey
Nicholas Gioacchini was born in Kansas City, Missouri. His father is Italian and his mother is Jamaican. When he was young, Nicholas played for local teams like Blue Valley Soccer Club. He also played for the Orange Stars.
At age 8, he moved to Parma, Italy. Four years later, at age 12, he returned to the United States. His family settled in Bethesda, Maryland. There, he played for several youth soccer clubs. These included Bethesda Soccer Club and D.C. United Academy.
Club Career Highlights
When Nicholas was 15, his family moved to France. In 2015, he joined Paris FC, a French soccer club.
Playing for Caen
On May 14, 2018, Nicholas signed a two-year contract with Caen. This was another French club. He played his first game for Caen on October 25, 2019. It was a Ligue 2 match against his old team, Paris FC. Caen won 4–2, and Nicholas scored his first goal for the team. He scored again on December 2, 2019, against Nancy.
Moving to Major League Soccer
On July 20, 2022, Nicholas signed with Orlando City. This team plays in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States. He signed a contract for two and a half years.
Later that year, on November 11, 2022, Nicholas was chosen by St. Louis City. This happened during the 2022 MLS Expansion Draft. St. Louis City was a new team joining MLS for their first season in 2023.
Return to Europe
On January 24, 2024, Nicholas moved to the Italian club Como. He signed a contract for three and a half years.
On August 15, 2024, Nicholas was loaned to FC Cincinnati. He will play for them for the rest of the 2024 MLS season.
Playing for the United States National Team
Nicholas could have played for Italy or Jamaica because of his family. But he chose to play for the United States.
He was first called to join the senior U.S. team in November 2020. This was for games against Wales and Panama. Nicholas played his first game for the U.S. team on November 12, 2020, against Wales.
In his next game, on November 16 against Panama, he started the match. He scored two goals in a 6–2 win! He also played in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup for the United States.
