The Story of Nickelback
How It All Began: Hesher, Curb, and The State (1995-2000)
Nickelback began in Alberta, Canada. In 1996, they released their first collection of songs. It was called Hesher and had seven songs. Later that year, they released a new album named Curb. This album was mostly played on radio stations in Hanna, Alberta. The band toured for Curb from August 1997 to May 1998. In 1999, they released another album called The State. The tour for The State lasted from September 1999 to December 2000.
Becoming Famous: Silver Side Up and The Long Road (2001-2004)
In 2001, Nickelback released an album that made them very popular. It was called Silver Side Up. The song "How You Remind Me" from this album became a huge hit. The band toured for Silver Side Up from January to November 2002. In 2003, they released another album, The Long Road. The tour for this album went from October 2003 to August 2004.
More Albums and Tours (2005-Present)
In 2005, Nickelback released the album All The Right Reasons. In 2006, they released the song "Rockstar". This song became very popular and reached number two in the UK. The tour for All The Right Reasons lasted from January 2006 to September 2007.
In 2008, the band released their album Dark Horse. They toured for Dark Horse from February 2009 to October 2010.
Their album Here and Now came out in 2011. The tour for this album lasted from April to December 2012.
Nickelback's eighth album, No Fixed Address, was released in November 2014. Their ninth album, Feed the Machine, came out in June 2017.
